Internet Marketing Without Money

The book No Money Marketing was written by me and Matthew Bredel. If you’d like to read it, you can get a free copy (value $97) through joining Tru-Guru, Matt’s subscription-based program that teaches people to become true online marketing gurus. (He’s offering a special now for $4.95 for a 30 day membership)
Those who buy a membership to Tru-Guru get several free bonuses and one of them is this book that’s filled with ideas of how to make money on the internet without an initial investment. Of course you’ll have paid the small subscription fee to get the free book but I do assure you, there are a lot of great ideas in there and the Tru-Guru subscription can be cancelled at any time (plus offers a money back guarantee).

Learning to make money online

Some people look for work at home jobs to make extra money. But many of them soon realize that there is a huge potential for a home-based business that you’re the boss of instead. Instead of working for someone else, you could start several different types of online businesses such as: affiliate marketing biz, creating an online dropshipping store, to create and market your own products, and more.

The most important aspect of searching for income opportunities on the web is research and Matthew Bredel has bundled several years of trial, error, research, and great results into his informative products.

Check out his free SEO Exciter Series to get a free sampling of his helpful teaching style when he shows you more than the basics of how he uses organic search engine optimization techniques to dominate the search engines in his niche (bringing him traffic and profit!).

I’d love your feedback on what you think of the book and the Tru-Guru program.

Cheers to your online success!

How do you find freelance writing jobs? This post will give you several job lead sources:

  1. Freelance Writing Job Blogs. There are a lot of blogs that offer daily job leads
  2. Craigslist. In all major cities is a writing job category
  3. Google Alerts. Set up a Google Alert for freelance writing jobs and you can even set on up for your specific niche.
  4. Google. Search on the type of writing job you want
  5. Writing Forums. There are internet forums dedicated to writers and these often have job listings in them.

Writers: Use The Web To Your Advantage!

If you want to become a writing wahm or just a freelance writer, the internet provides a wealth of opportunities for finding writing jobs. You can research how much a freelance writer gets paid, look at other writer’s sample resumes, set up your own writing website, and more.

Beyond the resources listed here, why not consider creating your own website to show your talents? Bring writing clients to you!

I’m a freelance writer, editor, and consultant and I support my family with my online income. I won’t say it’s easy but it’s very doable if you are motivated!

Call Center WAH Job Options

When you call a company and end up speaking with a call center, you might be talking to someone who is working from home. Call center jobs are increasingly popular in the wah space. Whether it’s cold calling or taking orders, many companies will hire telecommuters.

  • Pizza order takers
  • Hotel reservation bookings
  • Rent a car bookings
  • Customer Service Reps
  • Virtual assistants

The above are just some of the jobs available. How do you find out which companies are hiring home-based call center reps? Many online resources exist to help you find work at home jobs. For instance, some companies are hiring regularly in Canada for wah call centre jobs such as: Contract XChange, Telepros and Advantis and Toucan.

Many call center jobs will let you work split shifts so you can be available to get your kids to school or off the school bus. Some will allow late night positions as well so you can work from home part-time during the evening. Some programs do require training and training may or may not be paid and may require you to pay for training so be very careful of scams. Tehre are many legitimate companies out there but if you’re not sure whether something is legit, do check online for WAH reviews about the company.

More SAHMs Convert To WAHMs

In this day and age of rising costs of living it’s more and more difficult for a family to have a parent at home full time without an income. More stay at home Moms (SAHM) than ever are now looking to become WAHMs (work at home moms.) There are also a lot of SAHD’s / WAHD’s (at home Dads) as well.

Beyond home sales programs like Mary Kay or Avon or MLM programs like Amway many women are deciding to do professional careers from their home offices while they enjoy being there for their children. Many work part time and full time from home making as much money as they did outside the home with the added benefit of saving on childcare and having flexibility.

Many find that they need child care at least part of the time because their work at home careers keep them busy enough to warrant it. Some elect to do part time day care or Montessori programs for their kids or have a mother’s helper in for a few hours a day to lend a hand.

With professional virtual assistant and freelance jobs available, there are more options than ever. Peruse through our archives for information about many work at home jobs.

Is WAH Money Free Money? Taxman Implications

Work at home income is considered taxable income so it should be claimed at tax time. If you earn an income from any source, it shoudn’t be considered tax-free. Take care of your taxes promptly to avoid being audited.

Do WAH Jobs Take Off Tax?

Some companies that pay telecommuters pay them and withdraw applicable employment taxes with you if you work directly for them but the vast majority of companies leave you to deal with your own taxes. Whether or not you get any type of W-9 or T-4, etc at tax time, you are not off the hook.

What does that mean?

It means you need to be organized if you’re making an online income from many sources. Freelance professionals should consider buying tax or accounting software that enables them to track their work invoices and their expenses.

Some work at home professionals submit quarterly reports to their government and some experienced internet professionals hire an accountant. Here are some tips:

Track Your Income and Your Expenses

  • Assign a work order # to each client you work with. You might create a system based on a software package or even on a spreadsheet with numbers you’ve assigned.
  • Keep all bank statements and note any income that came in through direct deposits, and cheques.
  • Keep track of payments received through places like PayPal or Wire transfer companies such as MoneyBookers.
  • Keep track of your expenses.

Expenses may be helpful to you at tax time as a self-employed individual so keep track of office supplies and other expenses related to your at home job.

Getting Paid To Blog

There’s a lot that can be said about paid blogging. Some people blog as a hobby and others make full time incomes blogging and ghostblogging. If you’re a good writer and find a great subject, you can make money blogging. Even if you just want an online home, you can use your blog as a wee soapbox about something you enjoy or are passionate about and can make some income while you’re at it.

There are paid to blog companies that will pay you to put posts on your blog with a link to their client’s website. Blogging helps companies get search engine rankings which can bring them more traffic so they might be willing to pay from $5 to $25 just for a paragraph.

There are also blogging networks that will give you profit sharing or pay per post to blog for them.

And, you can start your own blog by blogging with Blogger or WordPress and make money that way as well as the best way which is to buy your own domain and create your own blog.
